A crisis of faith is one that typically happens when you blame God for all that’s going wrong in your life. Let’s face it, sometimes it’s hard to see we’re loved when the chips are down. You’re not even sure if there is a God or what to believe anymore.
Maybe you grew up with Jesus and doubt is starting to creep into your mind; maybe hearing the J-word leaves a bitter taste in your mouth because of church politics. Getting in tune with the man upstairs can have a wealth of benefit to your well being, from a peaceful night’s rest to developing compassion for others. Rekindling that spark of faith can change your life, your perspective, and give you purpose again.
It takes courage to believe in God and faith to understand that He not only has a plan, but He made you, perfectly imperfect, for a reason. All you need to do is listen.
When I faced losing my husband, I was super pissed at God for allowing me in a situation that seemed to be leading to my ruin. I mean, Hello! There was nothing that felt like a blessing going on in my mind. I was collateral damage to a situation way bigger than I imagined.
What I discovered is that God truly does work in mysterious ways and what you think is bad, might actually be badass. I think of God a lot like Red Reddington on the Blacklist I seriously love that show, sometimes we just need to dig deeper and realize that what seems to be harmful is really your Big Daddy making all things for your good.
